Prep List

Tools: 

  1. Cocktail Shaker and strainer

  2. Jigger or measuring cup

  3. Knife and Cutting Board

  4. Spoon

  5. Microplane for fresh spices

  6. Trash Can

  7. Towel

  8. Cocktail Glassware: 

    1. Lowball, Stemmed Glass, Hot Drink Glass

Shopping List

  • 6 oz Aged Rum (Smith and Cross or Plantation are best)

  • N/A Option: Use Bengal Spiced Tea - 2 tea bags to 1 cup of water

  • 1 oz Brandy, or Cognac or Armagnac (optional)

  • 2 TBLS Butter

  • 4 oz Heavy Cream or Half and half 

  • 1/4 cup of Simple Syrup (1:1 sugar to water)

  • Winter Spices (fresh or a pinch): Clove, Star Anise, Cinnamon, All Spice.  ( all are not necessary choose 2-3)

  • 1 tbs Brown Sugar

  • Nutmeg - fresh is best, or grated.

  • 4 oz hot water

  • 1 Egg (fresh organic)

Cocktails We’ll Make

  1. Winter Spiced Old Fashioned

    • Rum, Sugar, Ice, Nutmeg, Lowball

  2. Egg Nog

    • Rum, Brandy, Cream, Sugar, Egg, Nutmeg, Ice, Shaker

  3. Hot Buttered Rum

    • Rum, Butter, Hot Water, Brown Sugar, Spices, Cream
